Terms of use

You paid nothing; we still owe you a working game and straight answers. Here are the terms, in plain language.

1. The deal

Roaches Eat My Pizza is licensed to you for personal use on Apple devices you own, under Apple's standard EULA. It is free at launch. There are no charges in this game at all: no in-app purchases, no subscription, no currency for sale, nothing that renews. Downloading it needs an Apple Account, which Apple has its own age rules about.

2. Your save, and what is ours

Your progress is yours and lives on your device. Scales, upgrade ranks, arenas and skins are parts of a game, not property: they have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be sold or transferred to another player. The game itself — its code, its artwork, its sounds and its roaches — stays ours.

3. Fair play

Don't modify the game or its save file to post scores you didn't earn. Leaderboards and achievements belong to Apple's Game Center, and Apple can remove a score or a player from them. Don't repackage the game or its artwork for resale, and don't pretend a copy of it is yours. Be normal.

4. What we promise

The game should work as described on the store page. If it doesn't, contact support and we'll fix it. That is the extent of our warranty — the game is provided as-is, with no guarantee that it is uninterrupted, error-free, or fair about how many roaches arrive at once.

5. What we don't promise

We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost Scales, or a commute missed to a Daily Smash. Our total liability is capped at what you paid us, which at launch is nothing at all. Some places don't allow that kind of cap, and if you live in one of them, this section applies to you only as far as the law there allows.

6. Changes and termination

We may update these terms with a new effective date; continued use means acceptance. You can end the agreement any time by deleting the game. Your Game Center scores stay with Apple, where you can deal with them directly.

7. Apple's part in this

Downloading from the App Store also puts you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which sits alongside these terms; where the two disagree about the licence itself, Apple's wins. Apple didn't make this game and isn't responsible for it, has no obligation to support it, and handles refunds rather than us. Apple may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary — a sentence Apple asks for, and one we are happy to include.

8. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, where Yosika Life Quest LLC — the studio behind Roaches Eat My Pizza — is based, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts there. If the consumer law where you live gives you rights you can't sign away, you keep them: this section doesn't take away protections your own country or state guarantees you. We'd much rather answer an email than meet you in a courtroom over a free game about roaches.
