Privacy policy

This page covers 1dp.app, the website — the cookie it sets, the support desk, the problem board, and the terminal that asks about your problem. Looking for what one of the apps does on your phone? Each app has its own policy, linked from its own page: Cat Sticker Studio · Roaches Eat My Pizza.

1. The visitor cookie

The site sets one cookie, "1dp_v" — a random id, no account behind it, HttpOnly so no script on the page can read it. It exists so the problem board can remember which problems you've voted on without asking you to sign in. It carries no name, no email, and nothing else about you.

2. Filing a support ticket

The support form asks for your email and your message, and your name if you'd like to give one. We store the ticket, mail the operator that it arrived, and reply to the address you gave us. We also keep a salted hash of the submitting IP address — not the address itself — purely to enforce the rate limit that keeps the desk from being flooded.

3. Voting and commenting on the problem board

A vote is tied to your visitor cookie, not to you — we can tell that "this browser" voted for a problem, never who you are. A comment stores whatever name you type (or "anon" if you leave it blank) and the text itself; both are public the moment you post them, the same as any comment section.

4. Asking to be told when something ships

Asking to be notified about a problem stores your email against that one problem, nothing more. You get exactly one email, when it ships, with a one-click unsubscribe link in it — no account, no password, no further mail once you use it. We never add an address to this list except by that form.

5. The problem intake terminal

Typing a problem into the terminal on the board sends your words to OpenAI, which answers the next question. The conversation lives in your browser, not on our server — we relay it and forget it. Once the terminal decides it understands your problem, it writes a short title and summary to the public board under your visitor cookie; the back-and-forth that got there is not kept. We ask OpenAI not to retain the conversation either (every request goes out with storage turned off on their side).

6. Who else sees any of this

Cloudflare hosts the site, the database, and the mail — support tickets and ship notifications go out through Cloudflare's own Email Sending. OpenAI sees only what you type into the intake terminal, for exactly as long as it takes to answer. We run no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind — nothing on this site loads a script or a pixel from anyone but us.

7. Keeping and deleting

Votes, comments and notify subscriptions stick around for as long as the problem they're attached to is on the board. Support tickets are kept to handle your request and answer follow-ups. Ask us to delete anything of yours — a ticket, a comment, a notify subscription — at support@1dp.app or through the support form, and we will.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children and nothing on it asks anyone their age. We don't knowingly collect data from children through the cookie, the support desk, the board, or the terminal.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date.
