Cat Sticker Studio · effective 21 august 2026
Privacy policy
The short version: we run no server that could hold your cats, and we don't want your data. iCloud backs your stickerbook up to your own account, where we can't see it either. Here is the slightly longer version.
1. What we collect
Nothing. Cat Sticker Studio has no account system, no analytics SDK, no advertising identifiers and no third-party SDKs of any kind. We could not tell you who our users are, and we like it that way.
2. Camera and photos
The app asks for the camera so CAT-CAM can photograph the cat in front of you, and for your photo library so you can import one you already took. Those are the only two reasons it asks, and each photo is used only to make the sticker you asked for. Decline either and the rest of the app still works.
3. Where the work happens
Cutting the cat out of its background, finding its face and giving it a mood all run on your device, on Apple's on-device vision and language models. No photo is ever sent to a 1dp server — we don't run one that accepts images.
4. Your iCloud backup
Your stickerbook — the cutouts and the original photos behind them — is mirrored to your own private iCloud account, so a lost phone doesn't cost you your cats. That copy sits in Apple's iCloud under your Apple Account, covered by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot read it, list it, or ask Apple for it. Turn iCloud off for Cat Sticker Studio in iOS Settings and the book stays on the device.
5. Sharing a sticker
When you drop a sticker into iMessage, WhatsApp or anywhere else, it goes to that app under that app's terms. The transfer happens on your device, at your request.
6. What the app costs
It is free at launch, and it has no in-app purchases and no subscription. There is no transaction between you and us, so there is nothing about your payment details for us to see. If the price ever changes, Apple handles the money and sends us an anonymous sales report — never your name, your email or your card.
7. Support email
If you write to support, we keep the thread so we can help you, and we delete it after 12 months. We never add you to a mailing list without asking.
8. Who else sees any of this
Apple, and only because Apple runs iCloud, the App Store and the on-device frameworks the app is built on. There are no analytics providers, no ad networks, no third-party SDKs and no parent or sibling company with access to anything. We share your data with no one, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything. If that ever changed we would only work with someone bound to protect your data at least as well as this policy does — and we would say so here before it happened, not after.
9. Keeping and deleting
We hold nothing of yours to delete, because nothing you make in the app ever reaches us. The app keeps your photos and stickers on your device and in your iCloud for as long as you keep them.
You can delete them from inside the app. Press and hold a sticker to delete that one sticker; press and hold a cat's heading to delete the cat and every picture of it, including any the mood filter is hiding. Each asks you to confirm first, and a deletion travels: it leaves the book on this device and on every device you are signed in on. There is no undo.
Deleting the app removes the copy on the device; to clear the iCloud copy in one go, open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Cat Sticker Studio → Delete Data. Support threads are the one thing we do hold, and we delete those after 12 months — or sooner, if you ask us to.
10. Taking permission back
You grant camera and photo access the first time each is used, and you can withdraw either at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security, or in Settings → Cat Sticker Studio. Nothing is held hostage: the stickers you have already made keep working, and you can grant access again whenever you want a new cat. Turning iCloud off for the app stops the backup the same way.
11. Children
Cat Sticker Studio is not directed at children and never asks anyone their age — it never asks anyone anything. We don't knowingly collect data from anybody, children included.
12. Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date. Given how little we collect, changes should be rare and boring.
